NOLCHA, THE BUSINESS PLATFORM FOR INDEPENDENT FASHION, LAUNCHES RETAIL PLACEMENT AND MARKET RESEARCH PROGRAMS

(NEW YORK, NY—October 5, 2009) Nolcha: Fashion Business Network, the successful organization that supports, promotes and educates emerging and independent fashion talent from around the globe kicks off the season with the launch of two new business services in the New York fashion market; Introducing Events and the Nolcha Retail Incubator.

In just a few years, Nolcha has grown to offer reputable cost effective services and opportunities to independent fashion designers and retailers; including award winning Nolcha Fashion Week: New York, held simultaneously to New York Fashion Week, which showcases select fashion designers via the runway and exhibitions to press, retailers and industry leaders as sponsored by renowned brands such as Coca Cola, Aveda, Clarins Skin Spa and Paul Mitchell.

In the current economy the independent fashion market has to collaborate in creative ways and embrace their talents, resources and outlets to generate sales, a consumer base and business relationships. Ever resourceful and listening to the market, Nolcha has created Introducing and the Nolcha Retail Incubator to tackle the current obstacles that aspiring and independent fashion businesses are facing while providing professional guidance and support.

Introducing is a seasonal event series for independent fashion designers to exhibit their brand samples and collection ideas to the New York fashion market and receive solid feedback from industry tastemakers; including editors, retailers, stylists, representatives and executive decision makers. Attendees will complete a brand survey covering topics such as price points, fabric type/quality, finishing quality, trend color choices, seasonal/trend choices and marketing/pr ability.

The Nolcha Retail Incubator is a platform to connect independent fashion designer brands from around the world with select independent retailers. This initiative streamlines business so retailers can provide fresh fashion to their consumers and designers can gain brand awareness and sales outlets in a top market place; while receiving business and PR support. The current program has launched with premier independent New York retailers including Sarar, Plaza Too, Mini Centro, Donella’s Closet and Anavaa Kisasa and ten fashion designers in mens and womens accessories and apparel.
